BREAKING NEWS: Another Durham Arrest

Special Counsel John Durham continues to unwind the Russia collusion hoax that was used to undermine the Trump presidency.

Today, Igor Danchenko, a former analyst at the Brookings Institution and source of the infamous Steele dossier, was arrested by the FBI. He's facing five counts of perjury related to statements he made to the FBI when agents interviewed him in 2017 about the dossier.

Left-wing Lies

Every exit poll found that opposition to critical race theory in the schools was a top issue in the Virginia elections. It's critically important that everyone understands why.

There are two parts to critical race theory. One is that it teaches black children they are oppressed and cannot succeed because of the oppression. It teaches white children that they are oppressors, and must do "penance" for the "sin" of their skin color and the sins of their ancestors.

That's one element of CRT. In order to teach this, the second pillar of CRT comes into play, and that is teaching all children that America was evil at its founding. It teaches that our Founding Fathers were genocidal bigots who built America on stolen land. The country was fatally flawed from the beginning and remains "systemically racist" today.

That's the whole point of the 1619 Project – to radically redefine America around the issues of race, slavery and genocide in order to convince decent people that America must be "fundamentally transformed" in the image of the left.

These two themes of critical race theory are at the center of the American left today. Joe Biden, who is regularly held up as a "moderate," frequently pushes these themes. In the liberal media, these ideas are universally embraced as truths.

Understanding this twisted mindset helps explain the unbelievable vitriol we have seen in the last 24 hours from virtually every commentator on "mainstream media" networks.

For example, MSNBC host Joy Reid explained the election results this way:

"You have to be willing to vocalize that these Republicans are dangerous. That this isn't a party that just . . . disagrees with us on tax policy. That at this point, they're dangerous. They're dangerous to our national security, because stoking that kind of soft white nationalism eventually leads to the hard-core stuff."

Nicolle Wallace, who once worked for George W. Bush, whined that critical race theory "isn't real," but somehow the issue "turned the suburbs 15 points to the Trump insurrection endorsed Republican."

One Washington Post writer blasted Youngkin for running a "repulsively cynical" campaign that was "built heavily around stoking white grievance with attacks on phantom critical race theory in schools." He added that "Youngkin and his allies have pumped that raw right-wing sewage directly into the minds" of voters.

Atlantic columnist Jemele Hill tweeted, "It's not the messaging, folks. This country simply loves white supremacy."

At a press conference yesterday, PBS reporter Yamiche Alcindor asked President Biden how Democrats could do a better job of winning, "especially since Republicans are now successfully running on . . . false claims about critical race theory."

Once again, the left-wing media are lying through their teeth!

Critical race theory is real.

It is being taught in the schools.

In fact, it's so pervasive that it's impossible to opt-out because, according to one middle school "diversity resource teacher," it is "woven through in all classes."

The left today believes the only way it can survive is to stoke racial discord and destroy our children's love for America. That's why it constantly preaches that America is evil and insists that race must be the defining characteristic that drives everything we do.

By definition, to the extent the left succeeds, America will suffer – America as we understand it will be destroyed.

Last night, Sen. Marco Rubio perfectly summed up the state of our union when he said, "It isn't even left or right anymore. It's crazy versus normal."

Great Camouflage

If you believe the left, the conservative sweep in Virginia was the result of racism. Well, I guess white supremacists have become very astute at camouflage.  Apparently, they're disguising themselves now as black immigrants from Jamaica and Hispanics from Cuba. That's really clever!

As we noted yesterday, Winsome Sears will be Virginia's next lieutenant governor. She is the first black woman elected to statewide office in Virginia, and she's among the most conservative officeholders anywhere in America.

Yet, the media would have us believe that she's the new "black face of white supremacy," along with Jason Miyares, the first Hispanic elected to statewide office in Virginia.

The definition of racism is treating minorities by a completely different standard, and that is exactly what the left does to any conservative person of color. For example, USA Today wrote about all the "historic firsts" set by minority candidates this week. But the paper totally ignored Winsome Sears.

I suppose we should all be thankful that they just pretended like she didn't exist. Usually, the left demonizes and destroys conservative minorities as quickly as possible because they represent a mortal threat to the left's radical race narrative.

If you haven't already seen it, I urge you to watch Winsome Sears's victory speech. It would take an incredibly hard heart not to shed a tear at her remarkable story and her love for America.

If there already wasn't a target on her back, she proudly declared:

"I am not even first generation American. When I joined the Marine Corps, I was still a Jamaican. But this country had done so much for me, I was willing – willing – to die for this country."

Sears then led the crowd in chants of "U.S.A! U.S.A!"

No, conservatives are not the ones dividing America. Conservatives are celebrating America!

No Good Explanation

Fox News reporter Peter Doocy challenged President Biden yesterday about the administration's plan to pay $450,000 in damages to illegal aliens separated from their children at the border during the Trump years.

Biden called the allegation "garbage," and said the reports were not true. He then added, "$450,000 per person, is that what you're saying?" he asked. "That's not going to happen."

Did you catch that? Biden gave himself an out. Maybe it's not $450,000. Maybe it's $350,000. He must think we're all idiots.

Later in the day, ACLU Executive Director Anthony Romero, who is representing the illegal aliens, said, "President Biden may not have been fully briefed about the actions of his very own Justice Department. . . We call on President Biden to right the wrongs of this national tragedy."

So, who do we believe? Did Biden know the truth and lie to Peter Doocy on national television? Or did he really not know the details? Or was he briefed and he forgot? Any way you look at it, there's no good explanation.

Romney's Rant

Utah Senator Mitt Romney wrote an opinion piece in the Washington Post over the weekend defending the Senate filibuster rule. As you know, Senate progressives want to get rid of the filibuster so they can ram through the most radical elements of their agenda on a pure party-line vote with Vice President Kamala Harris casting tie-breaking votes.

Sadly, it's clear that Romney still hates Donald Trump and the populist conservative movement. Even while defending the filibuster, Romney's column took repeated swipes at Trump. He closed his column with this absurd statement:

"There is a reasonable chance that Republicans could win both houses of Congress in the next election cycle and, further, that Donald Trump could be elected president once again in 2024. Have Democrats thought through what it would mean for them for Trump to be entirely unrestrained. . .? If Democrats eliminate the filibuster now, they — and the country — may soon regret it very much."

Remind me again: Whose side is Romney on? It sounds like he's suggesting that the country would regret Trump's agenda. Has he seen Joe Biden's approval ratings lately? Was he paying any attention at all Tuesday night?

Perhaps Senate Republicans can trade Mitt Romney for Joe Manchin.
