Stand With American Values

Stand With American Values as we defend Faith, Family and Freedom!

Year-end fundraising makes up a huge part of our annual budget, and your support is essential to our success! More importantly, as you will read below, your support has never been more urgently needed.

To keep these daily reports coming and our working in Washington going. . .

Please stand with me now when you can DOUBLE your support!

Moral Clarity

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a press conference yesterday to address the ongoing war against Hamas.

He addressed the Israeli people, the grieving families who have lost loved ones, the families whose relatives are still being held hostage and the international community that has remained silent or has been critical of Israel’s actions in self-defense.

He was unambiguous and unequivocal. He spoke with the moral clarity that has been sorely lacking from the Biden/Harris White House. Below are some excerpts of his remarks.

To the silent UN and women’s organizations:

“I heard . . . about the sexual abuse and rapes of unparalleled brutality. But I must say that up until a few days ago, I did not hear the human rights organizations. . .

“I want to say this in a language that everyone understands. I say to the women’s rights organizations, to the human rights organizations: You’ve heard of the rape of Israeli women, horrible atrocities, sexual mutilation. Where the hell are you? I expect all civilized leaders, governments, nations, to speak up against this atrocity.”

On the war against Hamas:

“We have ordered the IDF to continue the war. Our soldiers are expanding the ground operation against Hamas throughout the Gaza Strip. . . Our brave soldiers are fighting the murderers with great force. . . They are eliminating many terrorists around the clock. . .

“We will fight until victory, until we achieve all of our goals: Returning all of the hostages, eliminating Hamas and ensuring that Gaza never again constitutes a threat to Israel. . .

“I say here to our friends in the world who are pressing for a quick end to the war: Our only way to end the war, and end it quickly, is to apply crushing pressure against Hamas – and destroy it.

“If our friends want to help shorten the war, which is also their war against the barbarism that threatens to engulf the world, they simply need to stand steadfast alongside us. . . Stand with us. Stand with Israel. Stand with civilization!”

My friends, Prime Minister Netanyahu is absolutely right. Israel is the tip of the spear in Western Civilization’s war against the murderous ideology of Islamic supremacism and jihad.

The attack on Israel and the effort to erase the history of Judaism in the Holy Land is an attack on Christianity and an attempt to erase the history of the Christian Bible. (See below.)

So long as G-d gives me breath, I will always stand with Israel!

And I hope and pray that each of you will stand with American Values now in this most critical time.

Exposing Anti-Semitism

There was a very disturbing hearing yesterday on Capitol Hill. Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-NC), chairwoman of the House Education Committee, summoned the presidents of Harvard, MIT and the University of Pennsylvania to answer for the explosion of anti-Semitism on their university campuses.

Rep. Elise Stefanik (R-NY) asked each of the university presidents whether calls for the genocide of the Jews violated their student codes of conduct against harassment and bullying. Not one of the university leaders could simply say, “Yes.”

They all dodged the question, saying it depended on the “context.” What exactly is the appropriate “context” to call for genocide?!

They could not say what measures were being taken to combat anti-Semitism on their campuses.

They also attempted to disguise the raw anti-Semitism of their radicalized students as “protected free speech.” You’ve got to be kidding me!

Harvard ranks dead last in the nation when it comes to protecting free speech on campus. If Riley Gaines tried to give a speech on Harvard’s campus explaining why men cannot become women, she’d be shouted down and shut down.

But when it comes to calls for the destruction of the Jewish state, all of a sudden Harvard’s president is a free speech champion!

The hypocrisy of the left has been obvious to conservatives for many years. But now there is growing evidence that American and Israeli Jews are rethinking the loyalty many of them had to progressive politics, as they are quickly discovering who their true friends really are.

Faith Under Siege

Sadly, anti-Semitism is on full display in more places than just university campuses. Organizers of a popular street festival in historic Williamsburg, Virginia, denied the request of a local rabbi to hold a menorah lighting ceremony.

Why? The festival organizer told the rabbi, “We are about Peace, Love & Light . . . don’t want to make it seem [like] we’re choosing a side -- supporting the killing/bombing of thousands of men, women & children.”

Meanwhile, on the other side of the country, California Gov. Gavin Newsom canceled the annual Christmas tree lighting at the state capitol yesterday.

Why? Because radical pro-Hamas mobs were threatening to protest the event, likely hoping to shut it down, just as they have tried to do at other Christmas events around the country. (Here and here.)

What’s the common denominator here, folks? Radical Islamists are a threat to religious freedom and Judeo-Christian values.

Speaking of threats, FBI Director Christopher Wray testified before the Senate yesterday. When asked about the terror threat risk to our country right now, Wray said, “I've never seen a time where all the threats or so many of the threats are all elevated, all at exactly the same time. . . I see blinking lights [warning signs] everywhere I turn.”

Again, what’s changed? Why is this particular moment in time so different and so dangerous? Well, Israel is under attack and militant Islamists are once again on the march (here, here and here) while our borders are wide open.

Trump’s Town Hall

Donald Trump appeared on Sean Hannity’s show last night for a town hall event with Iowa voters. Hannity brought up the left’s narrative, which I addressed in yesterday’s report, that Donald Trump is a “threat to democracy” and will become a dictator.

Trump replied that he wouldn’t be a dictator and then sarcastically added, “Except for one day. . . I want to close the border and I want to drill, drill, drill.”

In other words, he will do what every modern president has done on Day One of their administration: He will issue several executive orders repealing the worst orders of his predecessor and instructing federal agencies to begin implementing the agenda of the new administration.

Immediately, multiple left-wing media outlets pounced with various headlines like “Trump Will Be A Dictator From Day One” or “Trump Says He Will Be A Dictator.”

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough said this morning that Trump’s response reflected “a sickness among some Americans regarding authoritarianism and totalitarianism.”

In the unlikely event you have a subscription to these left-wing outlets, cancel them. Stop watching these networks. They are lying to you.

Trump was playing off the left’s hysteria. It was a joke. But, as we all know, the left has no sense of humor.

2024 Update

This week’s Morning Consult poll finds Donald Trump expanding his lead in the Republican presidential primary to 53 points. Trump leads Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis 66% to 13%, with former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley at 10%. No other candidate received double digit support.

In related news, North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum dropped out of the race this week.

Meanwhile, a new TIPP/Insights poll finds Joe Biden’s approval rating falling to a record low of just 33%. Only 21% of independents approve of his job performance. On major issues:

  • 55% disapprove of Biden’s handling of the economy.
  • 56% disapprove of his handling of immigration.
  • 54% disapprove of his of handling of crime.
