Open Borders Biden

 

More than two million people have entered the country illegally since Joe Biden took office. Most were apprehended, but many of them are then released into the country with court dates they will never show up for. But the disaster at the border is far worse than even that. 

 

Last month, 62,000 illegal aliens that we know of escaped Border Patrol agents, and disappeared into the interior of the country. In the first six months of Fiscal Year 2022, there have been more than 300,000 known illegal alien "getaways." And presumably many more got through that we don't know about.

 

Most people attempting to illegally enter the country don't try to run away. They cross the border and give themselves up because they know Joe Biden won't deport them. Far from deporting them, Biden is busing them and flying them all over the country. And Biden keeps promising amnesty for illegal aliens, so they keep coming.

 

But here's what you need to understand about the "getaways:" Those 300,000 people presumably had reason to assume they wouldn't be allowed to stay, probably because of past criminal records. So, they did not turn themselves in to Border Patrol agents. 

 

The odds are overwhelming that we would not want them here, but they evaded capture and have now melted into the population. We know many of them are likely to be gang members

 

We know that hostile governments all over the world like Russia, Iran and communist China realize that our border is no longer under the operational control of the United States. We know that Iranians, Chinese and Russians have been captured at the border. We should assume that some of these illegal border crossers are in fact enemy operatives. 

 

In short, Joe Biden has created a national security disaster at the southern border. America cannot afford to allow this disaster to continue for three more years.

 

 

 

Jackson's Disqualifying Response

 

Believe it or not, three days of confirmation hearings is not enough time for senators to ask Supreme Court nominees all the questions they have. So, they submit some questions in writing and the nominee responds in writing. 

 

In his written questions to Joe Biden's Supreme Court nominee, Senator Ted Cruz asked Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson a very simple question: "Do you hold a position on whether individuals possess natural rights?" 

 

That wasn't a "gotcha question." It should have been a slam dunk for Judge Jackson. Instead, Jackson replied, "I do not hold a position on whether individuals possess natural rights."

 

Every senator should now vote against her confirmation. This Supreme Court nominee just rejected the founding idea of America.  She rejected our Declaration of Independence. 

 

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." 

 

Our Republic is built on the idea that we have natural rights, unalienable rights, given to us by God, not government. How can Judge Jackson be trusted to interpret the Constitution if she rejects the Declaration of Independence? 

 

The concept of natural rights was not a controversial subject among our Founding Fathers. It was widely embraced. Alexander Hamilton wrote this on the subject of natural rights:

 

"The sacred rights of mankind are not to be rummaged for, among old parchments, or musty records. They are written, as with a sun beam, in the whole volume of human nature, by the hand of the divinity itself; and can never be erased or obscured by mortal power."

 

Tragically, the Supreme Court has twice rejected the idea of natural rights. The first was when the court declared that black men and women in slavery were not people, but property with no rights we were required to respect. 

 

The second time was in 1973, when the Supreme Court declared that preborn children were property that could be aborted at whim. 

 

Both decisions, Dred Scott and Roe v. Wade, flew in the face of the Declaration of Independence and our unalienable, natural rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

 

I know some conservatives have suggested that Judge Jackson is simply replacing one liberal with another liberal and that her confirmation doesn't make any difference. I completely disagree. Her confirmation changes the court for the worse given her fundamental rejection of the idea that our liberty comes from God. 

 

God forbid there is ever another time when a majority of Supreme Court justices decide we have no natural rights.

 

 

 

A Media Reckoning?

 

Today's Washington Post editorial suggests that the left-wing media may face "a reckoning" for the way it censored the Hunter Biden laptop story. I'll believe it when I see it.  Once you get past the headline, the editorial is primarily devoted to defending the media's censorship.

 

The most the Post concedes is that Hunter Biden engaged in "sleazy self-dealing" and that Joe Biden "deserves criticism for tacitly condoning" the way his family "profited from trading on his name."

 

As for the censorship of the news, the Post says "there was reason for reluctance," namely that Russia's efforts to meddle in the 2016 election caused news outlets to think twice about publishing what might be Russian disinformation. 

 

But we know that the bulk of that "Russian disinformation" came straight out of the Clinton campaign and the Deep State.

 

The odds are growing that Hunter Biden will be indicted. But what the left-wing media continue to ignore is the evidence on the laptop that "The Big Guy" – Joe Biden – was involved in the influence buying, and that he and his family are likely compromised by foreign governments.

 

Hunter Biden claims that he was a drug addict and alcoholic for much of that time. Any foreign government – Ukraine, communist China, Russia – would certainly have realized that he was impaired. Some obviously did realize it, and they even commented on it.

 

Yet they were giving him millions of dollars for expertise he did not possess. Why would they do that? They were buying influence with the then-vice president of the United States, and someone who very badly wanted to be president someday. 

 

There was evidence in the emails that Joe Biden was referred to as "the Big Guy," and we have testimony by a former business partner that he met with Joe Biden to discuss the various business dealings that he and Hunter were involved in. 

 

So, there is no doubt that this scandal goes all the way to the president of the United States. And, yet the media is doing its best to avoid that critical point.
