A Revealing Reaction
Many on the left are still shocked by yesterday’s unanimous decision from the Supreme Court. They just can’t accept that all nine justices, including the three liberal justices, said it was totally unacceptable for a state to keep a major competitor to the incumbent president off the ballot.
That’s not what we do in America. Not yet, anyway. (See next item.) But their hysterical reactions revealed an important truth.
You’ve heard a lot about our democracy being under attack. And it is under attack -- by the people telling you our democracy is under attack.
After yesterday’s decision, several leftist commentators were calling for the Supreme Court to be abolished or to suffer serious consequences – even though the ruling was nine to zero.
That’s the natural instinct of the neo-Marxist left. When it doesn’t get its way, it wants to tear down or destroy the institutions standing in its way – the church, the military, the police, the Boy Scouts, even the family. (Here and here.)
The radical left is in the process of “fundamentally transforming America” for the worse. We see it everywhere, and they don’t want anyone to interrupt them.
They thought they had everything locked up with Hillary Clinton, and they almost did. If the 2016 election had turned out differently, Hillary would have replaced Justices Scalia, Kennedy, and Ginsburg, creating a 6 to 3 liberal majority on the Supreme Court.
If the radical left isn’t stopped, parental rights will be erased. The freedom of speech will be regulated by the federal government. The freedom of religion will be severely restricted if it interferes with advancing the LGBTQ agenda.
Our Second Amendment rights will be taken away. All major decisions affecting our lives will be made at the U.N. by nameless, faceless bureaucrats, not by our own elected representatives.
Our borders will remain wide open to millions of illegal aliens, literally transforming America to be more like the rest of the world. And that is exactly what they are trying to do.
Raskin To The Rescue
After the Supreme Court unanimously dashed the hopes and dreams of progressives everywhere, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) immediately came to their rescue.
Along with Reps. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) and Eric Swalwell (D-CA), this “rogues’ gallery” is vowing to introduce legislation declaring that the January 6th riot was an insurrection and anyone who participated in it, including Donald Trump, is banned from the ballot.
Speaker Mike Johnson responded to Raskin’s announcement by telling him to “get a grip.”
As legal expert Jonathan Turley points out, what Raskin and his fellow radicals are attempting is “ballot cleansing” and could well result in dozens of congressional Republicans effectively being expelled from Congress. And not because any of them engaged in an insurrection, certainly not as any reasonable person would define it.
Rep. Bill Pascrell (D-NJ) wanted then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi to block 126 House Republicans from taking their seats in 2021.
Why? Because they supported a lawsuit filed by the state of Texas challenging the 2020 results in several states. So, for exercising their legal rights to a hearing in court, this dictatorial progressive would banish them all.
Pascrell wasn’t alone. Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO) wanted to expel any member of Congress who dared to challenge the certification of the Electoral College votes.
So, for doing something that Democrats have repeatedly done, she and more than 50 of her colleagues would have banned dozens of elected Republicans from Congress.
Once again, the totalitarian impulse of the neo-Marxist left is painfully obvious. Denying voters their right to vote for the candidates of their choice is not “defending democracy.” It’s what despotic regimes like communist China and Iran do.
Speaking Of Iran. . .
The FBI is frantically searching for an Iranian intelligence officer with connections to Venezuela. Majid Dastjani Farahani is accused of plotting to assassinate current administration officials and former senior members of the Trump administration, including former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
The FBI alert also states that Farahani has been recruiting others to conduct “surveillance activities focused on religious sites, businesses, and other facilities in the United States.”
That really shouldn’t surprise anybody.
This is the same Iranian regime that is funding Hamas in its war against our ally Israel. It’s the same Iranian regime that is funding the Houthis in Yemen, who are attacking Israel and threatening international shipping. And it’s the same Iranian regime that controls the militias that are attacking U.S. troops in Iraq and Syria.
What is surprising and totally inexplicable is that it is also the same Iranian regime that Joe Biden has tried so hard to appease and rewarded with major sanctions relief. (Here and here.)
Doritos = Bud Light
Apparently, Pepsi’s corporate executives learned nothing from the Bud Light / Dylan Mulvaney fiasco.
The company’s Spanish division just announced the hiring of “Samantha Hudson,” a radical transgender activist, as the new brand ambassador for Doritos, which is part of the Frito-Lay line of products owned by Pepsi. “Hudson’s” real name is Ivan Gonzalez Ranedo.
The new Doritos ambassador is an insane Marxist who has called for the destruction of the traditional nuclear family. He has also openly fantasized about molesting children and mocked victims of sexual assault. He is a very sick individual.
Needless to say, there has been a tremendous backlash, including growing calls to boycott Doritos. According to multiple reports, neither Doritos nor Pepsi have responded to the growing outrage.
ACTION ITEM: Click here to share your thoughts with Pepsi. Politely, but firmly, tell Pepsi that it needs to cancel its contract with this brand ambassador and apologize for making such a terrible decision.
Super Tuesday
Today is Super Tuesday. Voters in more than a dozen states are going to the polls to cast their ballots in presidential and congressional primaries.
If you live in one of these states, PLEASE VOTE!
Joe Biden has secured 206 delegates and needs 1,968 to secure the Democrat nomination. There are 1,420 delegates at stake in today’s Democrat primaries.
Donald Trump has secured 276 delegates. Nikki Haley has 43 delegates. The GOP nominee needs 1,215 to win the nomination. There are 870 delegates at stake in today’s Republican primaries.
While the nominations won’t be decided tonight, it will be clear tomorrow morning – if it already wasn’t – that Joe Biden and Donald Trump are the prohibitive favorites.
